Ten years on Bridging Visas

Hi there.

I am a Japanese living in Australia on Bridging Visas for more than ten years. It's getting too long to be on this kind of visa so I will apply for a substantive visa at last. So I was looking for some visa related info and reached here.

Started as an honest mistake by an Immigration officer but there was an defect in the legislation preventing the mistake rectified. When time passes, the problem became so complicated that they no longer know how to fix it without saying sorry or paying comp and they don't want to say sorry, do they.
