Citizenship for Son.

Hi,
I am Australian Permanent Resident, I completed 2 years of stay in Australia in the last 5 years. My son (22 years) who is on dependent visa in Oz has completed his 4 years stay in Australia as he is studying in University. Can he go ahead and apply for citizenship or he has to wait until I complete 4 years of stay in Oz. Thanks in advance for responses.

Warm Regards,
Syed
