Hello from Venkat

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum. I am from India and currently working in Oman. I am looking forward to migrate to Australia. I am 42 now and trying to migrate for the past 8 years, and met few agents in India related to it. But they say that I am not eligible for the following reasons,

1. I have my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (1992 Pass out) and Master's in Production Engineering (1994 Pass out). Worked in Production environment till 2001 (around 7 Years), then I moved to IT company working starting my IT career as Business Analyst.

2. From 2001 onwards, I am working for IT companies till date as Business Analyst, Project Manager, Management consultant and currently working for Accenture (Based out of BP Oman) through a local company called Mena Hr solutions in Oman.

3. As Accenture dont have office in Oman, I have been recruited by local company and working for BP, Oman

4. Under these circumstances, I approached local migration agent related to my move.

5. They said that I can not migrate because I don't have IT related qualifications as I got experience in IT sector for the past 12 Years.

6. My job related to Management consultant is more like studying companies business processes and Implementing IT solutions, for which Engineering degree will do and there is no need of IT degree.

Need someones help and advice on this, so that I can proceed further.

I am banking on this forum members to help me understand the process and take it forward.

Thanks a lot in advance.
