Unhappy HELP! De facto visa requirements...

Hi everyone,

I'm a kiwi who moved over to Australia in 2008 for better work opportunities. As much as I loved my home country, I had to make a positive change and while I was still young and full of enthusiasm! I now have job that is stable and has been for the last 4 years! Everything has fallen into place nicely.

Until about 6monts ago, I meet my now partner who is Irish and is traveling on a 2year visa which expires on April 2014. We now live together officially as of 2 months ago and both have perman plan to stay and be together for the rest of our lives. Nieve you think? It's pure love!!! =)

We have been looking into de facto visa applications and what I thought about me being an eligible NZ citizen living in Australia .. I am not? I had no qualifications or skills listed on the general skills outline sheet therefore I can not apply for permanent residency? I have no immediate family here that can sponsor me nor doe my work sponsor as it is a family private owned million dollar business?

Does anyone know if there is anyway we can get some kind of visa for him to stay here longer? We just want to be together and we will be .. I just don't want to have to go back to NZ with no job and low paying wages. As much as I love my country, I consider Australia home and so does he?

HEEELP PLEASE! Need some answers or guidance of such?

Thanks heaps
