Health insurance

I am french living in australia for over 3 years. I have health insurance but not to cover pregnancy/maternity. Its late to add it to my policy as I had to of had it for 12 months before I can claim. Is there ANY health insurance lower than 12 months? Ive made plenty of phone calls to different types of health insurance and still with the same answer, I even offered to pay for the whole year! In that way id be locked in, unlike some other people where they join have the baby get the claim and cancel their policy, in this case I wouldn't as I would be locked for the whole year. If I cant find anything then it looks like il be heading back to frane to give birth which I really don't want to. Any help would be grateful, if any...

Contact your health insurance, you maybe able to go to public hospital as Private patient, and have some coverage as a public patient, so not out of pocket expenses another source, http://www.privatehealth.gov.au/heal...ance/overseas/
