Awaiting Decision on PR After Marriage Breakdown

Hi, all. Like the title says, I'm awaiting a decision on my PR application (sub 100 submitted in October 2015 a month before eligibility), but my marriage has broken down due to my Partner stating they were transgender on our second wedding anniversary.

Living in limbo for a year and a half has really gotten to me lately and the stress is growing intolerable. Just hoping to commiserate with others, I guess.

Thanks for reading. P

Wow, I really dont know where to start there, I really do feel sorry for you, and my very personal view is the deception of your partner. I would not stress about it too much just move on and live life. Good luck with the PR. Just curious are you female or male just trying to work out if transgender husband or transgender wife? I always thought there was some kind of law where you had to declare, did you see your partners birth certificate details? Meet their family?

They were born male and I married them believing I was with a male, on our anniversary they said they identified as female and intended to transition immediately.

Update: my Visa was denied and I have lodged an appeal but have yet to even be assigned a caseworker as their caseload is backed up from May 2016.

Sad to know your story. Please stay positive. I hope you find a better partner.

All the best.
