Smile Hi everyone!

Hi there,

I am a brand new member to the forum so just thought I'd make a post to introduce myself.

I've just moved to Melbourne from San Francisco, and my fiance and I are just beginning the process of putting together our de facto marriage visa application.

I'd love to hear from you guys if you have any tips about living in Melbourne, finding work, visa apps, or just a hello!

Hi Katsy,

Welcome to the board. What type of visa are you applying for specifically? I met my girlfriend in Melbourne, we're planning to move back from London if/when my visa has been granted.

Where in Melbourne have you moved to? What kind of work are you looking for? It's a brilliant city, but then again we thought the same of San Francisco when we visited!

Yes, we had trams in San Francisco as well. But they are not as extensive as the Melbourne trams. I've even got two right outside my apartment, which is really convenient!

Hey neil!

I'm applying for the Onshore partner visa subclass 820.

We're are living in Elsternwick now, but are moving to Caulfield very shortly.
As far as work, I am a recent accounting graduate so that is my career goal.
However, as of now I am still here on a work/holiday visa, so I am really just looking for any temporary role to bring in some money.

Best of luck on you and your gf's visa app!
