Red face Visitor visa v/s Partner Visa

Hello Everyone

My name is Linah from South Africa...am married to an Australian and my partner visa 309 was granted in April 2013..My visitor visa expired in May 2013
I was told that I have to make an initial entry in Jan 2014.....I visited Hubby 2 weeks after my partner visa was granted..Does this mean it has been activated already ??..and the visitor visa was it still valid as well or does it gets automatically cancelled by the partner visa???
Thanks in advance for your replies!

Linah..oooh yeah you can call me "Sweetpea"

Hi Linah,

Your most recent visa is the only valid visa. You cant have two visa's at the same time. So when you partner 309 visa was issued it would have made your tourist visa invalid.

Yes if you entered 2 weeks after your partner visa was granted then yeah that would cover your initial entry requirement.

Cheers,
Dylan
