Newby needing help

Hi all.
I'm a nurse wishing to live and work in Australia again. Things sure have changed from the working holiday visa I had last time!! Started looking at visa 189 and have started to fill in the skills assessment. but the thought of waiting to be invited to apply scares me. How long can you wait to be invited to apply? We have 60 points but none of the invited went to people with 60 points in july!! They went to 75+ points.
Started to look at 489 to see if it would be quicker?? Can't do expression of interest for this visa til skills assessment is confirmed by ANMAC. Help or advice or experiences shared would be helpful 😊
