Hi all,

I have applied a for a spouse visa subclass 309. Has anyone applied online? Furthermore, is it compulsory that my husband has a job when lodging the application? He is an Australian citizen but was in sri lanka for a couple of years and now he is Aussie and trying to settle yet.

No, having a job is not compulsory for the sponsor of the 300, 820 or 309 visa routes.

I didn't have one, and got the 300 and 820 visas. I also lived overseas for a while with my fiance (now wife) at the time.
