Partner Visa News

Hello all,

Im a Registered Migration Agent and have joined the forum to assist fellow temporary or permanent visa applicants to Australia.

News to start my first post is Partner Visa Refusals

On the 17th November, Immigration sent out an email to Registered Migration Agents warning that Partner Visa Applications that have been lodged with nil or close to nil documents are causing delays in processing and now therefore Immigration will start to REFUSE applications WITHOUT notice.

This is more so the case with onshore partner applications (820/801) where persons who apply, apply merely for a bridging visa A which will allow them to remain lawful.

Please be careful if this is what you intend on doing if you are applying onshore. An application for ANY visa subclass MUST be Application Ready.

Exceptions might be police checks which can take some time depending on the country.

However common sense prevails here...

Hope I have helped

Regards

Hi .
I'm new here on ausforum.
I have partner visa 801 in process and it's being looked at as we speak. We are very hopeful it's going to get granted. But just in case if doesn't what Visa would I go on then ? As I will be overseas at the time of decision?
What are my other options?
Currently on 820 since November 2017.
Thanks in advance.
Jennifer

Very desperate for your help, please help.

I'm overseas at the moment and my 801 has been refused saying my evidences aren't enough.
What do I do now? What visa am I on now?
Can I come back into Australia asap to apply an appeal (aat) ?
How long do I get to appeal ?
What are my options please help.
Thanks in advance.
Jennifer

Hi there,

I'm a new member and just wanted to ask your opinion about an issue I have atm.

I am a Philippine citizen that is currently here in Brisbane on a tourist visa. I am currently engaged to an Australian. We are trying to apply for the Partner visa by early October 2018 as my tourist visa ends mid October 2018 (our funds prevent us from applying anytime earlier than early October)

The issue we are worried about is that because we have only been engaged for a year and that we have only lived together for 7 months (moved here in February) we are afraid that it will not be enough for us to prove our defacto relationship. We cannot put on our application that we are married because we wont be married yet by the time we submit the application as our wedding is on October 26 2018.

Is there anything you can advise us on?

Hoping to hear from you.

Sincerely,
ButteryJem

Hi, Im a Australian Citizen originally Philippines but now I am citizen here. Is it possible to apply my husband while he is here holding a tourist visa to partner visa? Im kinda thinking if Im gonna use an agent to process his visa. As its been hard for us being away from each other as a husband and wife. Is anyone can help me decide to use an agent or me itself ? Just trying if I can save some money if I can do so. Anyone can give me some advises about the form 47sp and 40sp is this the right form for me to fill out. How will I know the requirements needed?
I will much appreciated if you can help me sort this things out in my mind planning to apply him by next month coming.

Thank You so much.. God Bless everyone
