partner visa process

Hello,

I lodged my offshore partner visa application on 15 March 2017, did my medical check on 22 June 2017, got my APF check on 5 July 2017, I spent a year in Australia with my husband under tourist visa, now back to Indonesia as I couldn't extend the tourist visa anymore. Is it true that I have to re-do both medical and APF check every year before the visa is granted? Should I apply another tourist visa while waiting partner visa to be granted? Any information would be appreciated.

Regards,
Dee
