student visa getting married

I am already here in Australia with a student visa. I got married after I was granted my student visa and then came to Australia. The issue is when I made my student visa application I did not place him as a de facto or dependent and he plans to come here now as my partner. Is it possible for me to update my status on my visa so that he can come here as my dependent? And whats the process ??
