Hello from Europe and the first question

Hello everyone!!!
I am in the process of gathering documents for an offshore partner visa. I am resorting to my own resources as the cost of hiring an argent is too much for us. One of the questions I wanted to ask you is whether you are obliged to stay a particular length of time in Au once the visa is granted. Somebody told me that you are to stay in Au for 2 years within the period of 5 years. Is it so? How does it work? I am very confused and would like somebody to tell me bluntly how it is

Once PR is granted (subclass 100), it only gives you a travel facility of 5 years. Meaning after those 5 years, you won't be able to reenter Australia without an RRV. To be eligible for an RRV, you have to meet residency requirements. One example is https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/...quirement.aspx

If you don't intend to live in Oz with your partner/sponsor or don't plan to in thr near future, then there's not much of a point in getting a partner visa that is intended for living in Australia with your partner, is there?
