Engaged and Assessing Options

Hi Guys,

Might have posted in the immigration forum before, but pleasure to be here.

At the moment, just assessing options around now that my Swedish/Finnish girlfriend / now fiance was granted her Working Holiday VISA to come to Australia a few weeks ago. She does want to get married back over in Finland, but I'm not too sure what those implications would mean if she was to come back to Australia following this. Would this be possible? (Apologies if this sounds silly).

I know looking here most do want to get married here in Australia, and then apply for a 820/801, but is there anyone here that has gotten married overseas and then applied for the 309/100?

Thanks again

It doesn't matter where you marry, or if you're even married at all. Evidence requirements must be met either way. Only difference between 309/100 and 820/801 is the former is applied offshore and the latter onshore. Again, WHERE you marry is irrelevant. Even the PMV 300 which is intended for engaged couples doesn't require anyone to marry IN Australia.
