Partner visa 820/801

Hi guys, Irish girl starting to stress!! I applied for my 820 on the 6th of Dec 2016 got an email requesting my partners police check on the 3rd of march 2017 uploaded it within the 28day time frame and have not heard anything since???? All of my police checks,my medical everything is out of date. Should i follow up?? Should i just hold off?? My biggest drama is i want to fly back to Ireland the end of jan 2019, shoulr i apply for a BVB?? Of long my application for my 801 on the 7th of dec as it is two years after my original application was submitted?? HELP!

Wow, really? Have you checked the immi account for notifications? I would be contacting them and chasing up in the beginning of December. Since it will have been two years by then, they will likely process both TR and PR at the same time so in the meantime, upload some current evidence of your relationship. I wouldn't bother with police checks and medical unless they request them again.

Definitely apply for a BVB if you're going offshore and you're on a bridging visa. As you're not planning to go until end of January, personally I would wait until December after I've contacted immigration about the processing of the visa before paying the fee. You don't want to apply for the BVB too early then they grant the 820 (and maybe 801) right after.

That's just what I would do!

You can't lodge Stage 2 unless you hold the 820.
