Hi everyone,

I am a newbie to this website.

I had been chatting with an Ukrainian girl for 6 months now, she will be visiting to Sydney Australia soon, hopefully this year. I will see how things goes from there. But just want to get my direction open just in case that we want to move on to the next phase.

Hubert

Welcome! Just keep in mind that immigration doesn't consider any time in an online relationship towards meeting de facto requirements if you start looking at a partner visa in the future.

"Time you spent dating or in an online relationship does not count as being in a de facto relationship."

Understood! Thanks skybluebrewer!

What is the time required to be reasonable for staying together before applying a partner visa?

Depends which one you do. 12 months de facto is the minimum if going that route. There are options to register a relationship depending on where you live and that waives the 12 months but they still need to see de facto evidence as the relationship registration isn't enough on its own.
