Thumbs up New Member, 461 Visa

Hey All,

I'm LuckyAU7, a long time lurker and first time poster here on Australiaforum.

Been in Australia since Sept. 2017. Living in Melbourne with a kiwi and we're waiting on a 461 visa. Loving my time here so far, I originally came from Orange County, California. It hasn't been easy and actually been a long and difficult journey settling in here, basically starting fresh together. As time goes on, our life together here becomes easier and more stable. Hoping for that visa soon so I can keep my current job and or looking for ways to get a work extension.

That aside, I'm glad to be here and I appreciate all the help that this forum has given. We filed our application ourselves and I found a lot of answers to questions on here.

Thanks,

LuckyAU7

I've read around that processing times are quicker offshore, fingers crossed. I applied back in January 2018 onshore.

So you've been waiting a year? Sorry to hear that.

What visa are you currently on?

Just on a bridging visa, originally came on a working holiday visa. It's been a long wait.

Yeah I can work on this visa. Originally had a 6 month work limitations but I managed to get it removed. So now it's just a waiting game.
