Thumbs up

Hello Sky:

Short version We met online, chatted, talked met in person, got married in Fiji. We both went home, her to Aus, me to the states. Sold my house and everything came over here on a tourist visa, retained a migration agent, got bridging visa, got temp visa, and a month ago application for perm was granted.

Which as i understand it means i can stay here forever unless i do something that would get me prison time anyway.

Quite the journey! Well, congratulations and yep, PR is permanent unless you replace it with another visa. Don't forget the travel dates on the grant letter though and the need for an RRV in the future.
