Attaching Documents in Immi Account for Partner Visa

Hello Beautiful people....Please help me with my questions....
Usually when I attached files in my tourist visas I scanned them to make it a PDF files.
My question is for photos (I used Picassa to make a collage) can I attach it directly as JPEG file? The file size is 3,135kb which is under the 5mb size limit...

Did someone already do that? Attaching Jpeg files in the immi account (uploading section)?

And when you scan form 888..do you attach it separately (per person) or when you scan it (form 888) save it in one file with multiple pages?

Did you do the same with form80 and form 1221 (scan it in one file)

Thanks Heaps!
Will appreciate all your answers and experiences!

With most of our jpgs, I created a single image in Paint and added a few together as one image, effectively a collage. I didn't think to use Picassa ...

I put the form 888's together, in one image, on one of the visa applications.

The form 80, I split into 3 files each with a third of the pages. I wasn't able to reduce the form 80 to a small enough size.

It is a good idea to try to put some documents together as one upload file.

Thanks for your prompt reply....
Just to be clear (sorry Im slow)

You DID NOT print the collage made in Paint and You DID not scan it to make a PDF...
You save as JPEG and attached it in your application?

As long as it is under 5mb?

Is that right?

Yes I find easier in Picasa...but I use Paint too for print screen shots in my desktop...

Thanks...

I didn't normally print things first. The photos that we uploaded were just pulled into Paint, and edited for size, and/or combined together into one image, which was uploaded as a jpg file.

I did do some things as PDF.

The form 80, I filled in online and saved as a PDF file which we uploaded, but for the signature page I printed that one page, it was signed, I took a photo with my phone and uploaded that image as a single jpg titled "Form 80 signature page only". So the form 80 was a mix of PDF and JPG.

For the wedding photos, I did a single image with 9 photos on the page. It was 3810 x 6258 and 2.2MB in size.

I also did a word document (.docx) with 14 photos during our relationship, with wording added to explain each one. It took up 8 pages, and was 4.2MB in size. That could have been done as PDF, but I left it as a word doc.

The form 888's, I photographed with my phone, and added them together in one jpg image.

Passport pages I did as a jpg (4 images combined on one jpg) for the 820, but a PDF (again with all images combined) for the 801.

The police certificate, etc., were all just uploaded as JPG's, from the photos taken on my phone.

Immigration seem to be flexible as long as they can read everything.

I just checked on the form 80 we did. I tried a JPG first (Combined screen shots of each page, into one JPG) but the upload wasn't accepted, so I did a PDF on the second attempt. The signature page was accepted as a jpg though...

The PDF's that I created, I used an free online service to convert images or other saved files to a PDF. No scanning done. I did buy a HP Deskjet 3632 to scan things, but I couldn't get it to work. (that reminds me I need to throw it out)

Wow.
Do you still remember the online website where you convert JPEg to PDf? So basically you did not use scanner? You just use your phone's camera (jpeg) file and with files need to be PDF you just converted it using the online converter?

'smallpdf' rings a bell. But I can't recall for sure. I did try two, and one was better than the other, but I am not sure now.

Yes. I just used my phones camera, and Paint for the jpg uploads. With the online PDF converter where needed.

It got us the 300, 820 and 801 visa grants.

Hi again...can I ask about your police cert?
Did you get just the National Police Check worth $49 or the expensive one with finger print?
I just got my partner a NPC and it was the $49...and I need one for myself too coz I live here for more than 12 mos although I already have police cert from the Philippines...
Thanks in advance
