evidence of cohabitation

Hi newbie here. Thanks admin for accepting .Me and my partner applied for 820 de facto two months ago but we don't have any shared house bills or lease agreements in both our name with it. What would be other evidence to show that we live together in the same address? Thanks for any help regarding this..

Hi there. My wife and I were in a similar position however did not exactly meet the defacto clause. I added my wife to our rental lease, opened a joint bank account which the statement will show shared address, added her as a secondary account holder for Foxtel, Telstra, Origin Energy, Vodaphone, and water supplier (not on the bills but supplied confirmation of this) . That's all we did and we got her 820 Tuesday this week after 8 months. Possibly a couple more additions would not hurt but it worked for us.

I think the point is to show that you live together during a period. If you’re renting, try asking the agent for a letter to say that you have been living together. You can also add your partner’s name to your household bills. If you have letters addressed to both you sent to the residence, will help to.
