my wife got Listening 8.5 Writing 6.5 Reading 8 Speaking 7. She was very much confident about writing module but unfortunately she got 6.5 in writing module. due to this she can not apply for pr visa because she needs 7 each in each module . she is loosing 10 Ielts points. anybody can please explain me why IDP has given 6.5 because IDP doesn't want us to apply for pr visa . she also sent for re-mark but the result was unchanged. she again spent 7000 indian rupees for re-mark. but unfortunately they mentioned unchanged. We just want to know They (IDP) do deliberately . only .5 points can ruin your career.

Hello futurevision

I can understand your frustration with IELTS. Its unfortunate that your wife has missed out on the writing module which is quite common. Blaming IDP isn't going to help anyone. My advice is to keep trying as I had to write 5 times just to get 7 in writing. Many others in the forum have gone through this too.

I have friends who have written more than 10 times and failed to get that magical 7 in writing. So don't lose hope. All the best.
