Hi there

My husband (Canadian) & Myself (Australian) are in the first steps of applying for TR & PR...Forms filled out but alot of added Info still to be done

We do hope this will be our last winter on the prairies!!! brrrrrrr its way too cold for this Aussie Queenslander this is my 7th winter here & time for a warm change LOL ..btw just for some added info the weekend before Christmas Edmonton registered as the 2nd coldest place on earth, second only to a town in Siberia..It was -54c @ Edmonton International Airport...LOL on this basis alone I think I can prove our marriage is not one of convenience !!!!

Anyway Hi to all & I hope we all have successful immigration decisions

Yep, -54C is certainly unbelievably cold.
Can you drive at that time of the year for engine blocks not to mention radiators would near freeze even with better anti freeze.

And what about all the water/sewerage lines external to buildings?
You'll have to write up an article BeaverRoo for the International Travel section or I'll get Admin to put it on Home page perhaps.

Anyway, welcome to the forum and hopefully a welcome back to Queensland not too far away, married couples not having a problem getting the partner visa I suspect.
A great Checklist you have probably seen in the visa section and follow that and shouldn't be a problem for you.

Congratulations on coming back to Oz to thaw out! I am American and my husband is Australian, and we are actually doing the opposite and moving to frosty Wisconsin in the next few months! We have lived in sunny Sydney for the past 6 years, and now it's time to get hubby used to the snow (I hope he can cope)! We are currently applying for his Greencard, then we're on our way.

Good luck with your Australian PR application, I know how frustrating the extensive paperwork can be! I am actually an Australian registered Migration Agent with MZ Migration International, so if you have any issues or questions with your application please feel free to contact me. I am happy to help!

Michelle
