Smile Advice Needed and Hello!

Hi there forum members!

My name is Leunis van Rooyen, I am currently living in South Africa, and working as a IT Support Technician with around 4 years experience.

I have never done anything like this before and I am also not sure what to do or where to do it. I would love to go to Australia and work there as well, for the moment not permanently, but I would strongly consider it after staying there for a couple of months, looking at 12 months or depending on the Visa I guess?

Well that is my story, please feel free to comment or help where you can, I really have no idea where to start, what the involved costs will be, or how long it will take to get all the needed documentation?

Thank you very much in advance!

Hi Leunis and welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately the immigration regulations do not too easily allow for temporary work visits though there is the possibility of employer sponsorship, though difficulty in tighter economic times is finding one and next to impossible to do it from abroad unless there is a demand in highly skilled or specialised areas like medical field etc.

Have a look at the top two heading links on Workers - Visas & Immigration and then if your funds allow for an extended holiday, you could always come for a holiday and though not legal to work, there is no harm in making enquiries of the businesses scene as part of your holiday.
If you were able to find a sponsor, applying for a sponsored visa can be quite quick.

More info in the Visas&Immigration section.
