Question Hi from Colorado USA

Hi my name is Ashley and my boyfriend and I have been extremely interested in moving to Australia in the next year or two. We currently live in Fort Collins, Colorado USA and my boyfriend has wanted to go to school there since before I met him. We have a golden retriever pup named Charlie, and love Australia the more we look into it. Besides the basics of moving to Australia I sometimes worry about the transition for Charlie. He gets very nervous when my boyfriend and I aren't around and he's not home. But basically, the economy here is terrible and I've always wanted to take risks and try new places. We have looked into just moving around the country but no where feels as comfortable as Australia does. Well if you have any pointers or opinions, please let me know. This is all very new to me.

You really need to have a look at Visas requirements Ashley, so check out the Visas & Immigration section, there being various threads in the travel, housing and employment sections that'll have some interesting info too.

With animals, it's natural for dogs to be nervous when left alone, some more so than others depending on their nature and how they're raised by owners.
A trip to Australia means special vetinarian examinations and quarantine with significant costs, your local vet could have details or have a look @ quarantine requirements
