both my partner and i are thinking of immigrating to Oz

Can anyone give me the info on what to expect,how long it takes to apply,how long it takes to get granted.We are getting married this year would we be better to apply as a married couple?

It really depends on your circumstances re skills if that's the way you're thinking of and being married or defacto partners will not really matter.
Start off by having a look at Workers - Visas & Immigration but there are some significant changes to be introduced in next few months.
