humanitarian visa

I am from Afghanistan and study my PhD in Japan . I want to apply for a humanitarian visa because if for my new religion if I come back to my country Afghanistan I will be arrested and probably I will have a lot of sever problem. I checked Australia website of immigration. I think have a good chance to apply as a refugee.
I want to move to Australia and now I search a sponsor (proposer).

Hello vetman and you likely know what a massive issue, the refugee situation is about the globe, something like 20-30 million or more people registered with the United Nations.
Australia does have a refugee program that works through the UN and that is one reaon why Australia would like to see an end to the people attempting passage through non UN means.
I am not too sure how someone would seek a sponsor, but I'd expect it would be via having any relations or making contact with particular refugee groups, and again I am not too sure whether it will give any priority for it is recognised that the millions in UN refugee camps are very desperate and many will not even have finances nor have likely had the opportunity for higher level education.

hello Wanderer
you are right but you know that there is a specila kind of visa for a limited number like 5000/year.
I hope if I could find a sponsor I apply for it.
I have enough money and I am educated.
I will do my best, maybe I can do it. God is very kind!
