A call to deep South

I am Ujjwal Sarkar , a teacher by profession. I live in an industrial town,Durgapur, in the province of West Bengal, in India. I live with my family : my wife and two sons . I teach Physics in a higher secondary school . My wife is also a teacher of Chemistry . My sons are in college.
Though not that much of a traveler, I have travelled a large part of India , particularly the Himalayas. It is just another ,almost divine , world for me .

I love reading. I like reading History, travelogues of the old timers, and about Nature, apart from my normal professional matters. .I like to know about different cultures and the social attitudes of a people which make what they are. Professionally I have interest in Electrodynamics, Optics and Semiconductor physics.

Dear Skydancer,
It is a pleasure to learn that I can talk to somebody who has visited the Himalayas. I am also at one with you: we share a beautiful world.
I thank you for your response.
