hello y'all

My name is Ron. I currently am attending school for auto mechanics, specializing in BMW, in Orlando, FL in the US. I have the intentions and desire to move to Brisbane, QLD in February of next year. My graduation date for school is late December and one month of getting things together should be sufficient. I am already in communiations and negotiations to several BMW Dealerships for a Technician position.
I have been doing a lot of research on everything but still have many many questions. I've gotten the scoop on weather, currency, living expenses, transportation, and culture. But most of my questions revolve on the actual process of getting to and working in Australia.
From what I've gathered so far I need to apply for a Subclass 457 Business Long Term Visa. But i'm sure there is more to it than that. I have an application in the US for my US Passport which i'm sure will be needed. But what other documentation will be needed?
Any help on this matter will be most appreciated. I'm glad to find a forum to help out people in a situation like myself. Have a good one

Re not much action here Ron, I do pop in now and again but it is also good to leave room for others.
And most certainly a passport is a good idea for other than an ID card for Canada or Mexico [ unless that system is now restricted ] you'll need a passport to leave the US for other destinations.
