Exclamation Spouse visa 309

Hi everybody,I am new here and need some advices or some help if you can please.I am a Australian citizen, applied&lodged a spouse visa 309 on the 12/03/2010 at 9:30AM Beirut/Lebanon.The lady that assessed the application for my wife was very friendly with us.She asked my wife to do the medical test straight away so we did that.I've provided all documents required on the dot.Later on that day about midday,a family immigration case officer called my wife and interviewed her over the phone(mobile)for 30 minutes time.Case officer was very satisfied and said that she'll no longer calls or anything, she's got everything ready and doesn't need anything from me anymore and all documents are in excellent order to be sent to the FINAL CHECK UP(ASIO).A week later on the 19/03/2010 I received an email from the Australian Embassy Beirut/Lebanon stating that everything is successful and waiting for ASIO to send them the OK.Today is the 26th of July 2010,already 4 months&2 weeks have passed.I called them twice and still the same answer WAITING FOR FINAL CHECK UP.Anybody can help me please???Thanks in advance.

Hi Maestro

Sorry to hear about your long delay! Check this thread, if you haven't done so already:

http://www.australiaforum.com/visas-...n-9months.html

Look at the positive side. At least Immigration has virtually guaranteed your wife a visa grant! Many of us are waiting on the security check, and have had no indication from the CO about the application being successful or not.

Wishing you best of luck and a speedy visa :-)
