Hi mates!

Hello, my name is IsmaŽl, i have 23yo, i'm an ex-soldier of France, i have the project to live permanently in Australia and work in the IT fixing and developpement for the country, and find love if i'm be lucky ^^, i've taked the decision to leave my actual country beacause it's hard to live like we want at present, i think this is not nececary to draw you a picture .

I have a friend in Australia who have taked the same decision, since 5 month, he sayed Australians are greats peoples, and the cities are beautiful, he was the mate who encouraged me to do this project.

normaly i will come in Australia at the end 2014, with my pet, an alaskan malamute, she have 4yo ^^.

Good luck with ur project ! Yes u will find us Aussies very friendly . Pls do a lot of research so u can have a successful visa application. U will find plenty info here on these threads. Pls post pics of ur dog sounds gorgeous but note costs to bring dog here are expensive and quarantine periods apply

I think ur dog has to be locked up in your country for a period of time and then when they arrive in oz they must stay in a facility here for around 3 months so u have to pay for these fees as well as airfares and vet certificates. I would worry about getting ur visa first as that's difficult enough and then worry about the dog once u have that under control

Quarantine for my cats was one month but I had read the quarantine period was being reduced to one week, if it hasn't already been. Look for the AQIS site, they will have the current quarantine regulations.
