Hello all.

I'm a 21 year old from Alaska, U.S. who is interested in visiting with a Working Holiday Visa next year, around June/July.

I visited last year, in April, to meet with a friend I had met over the internet. I loved it there, and would like to make a more extended stay this time. I'm prepping by saving up as much money as possible, and trying to read up on everything that would be needed. Thought I should post here as well! I've got some questions

Is the $5,000 AUD a suggested minimum to be brought? Or is that the amount required?
I ask because I've got a place to stay for the first two or three months, and I figure I will get a job during that point to aid in the expenses. I am aware of the 6 month limitation on a job from a single employer.

What would happen if I decided I would like to stay? Is it possible to go from Working Holiday Visa to working on getting a permanent residence? And what processes would need to happen?

Now, more about me:

I've worked on a farm all my life, so I have a skillset which includes: Manual Labour (baling hay, 30-80 pound bales, stacked 5-6 tall), using heavy machinery (Bulldozer to flatten out berms, tractor with various farm implements attached, took a small training course in using a road grader), construction (putting up a green house, putting up drywall, making the hay wagons), and pretty much working all day on any of these.

But I'm uncertain if this qualifies me for anything in the way of the Skilled Migration listed skills. I somehow doubt it does, so would there be any other way of doing it?

Sorry if this post is a mess, I'm hyper from drinking three cups of coffee this morning.
