Just Another Boy that dreams Australia..

Hi everybody, my name's Michael, I'm 23 Years old just right now, and I have a "dreamtime" from.. few months ago...

I don't recognize myself with the Italian state (and maybe with the government), even though I'd love my little hometown. But I really hate the italian burocracy and its slowness ,the fact that you HAVE to be recommended to find a job (even my actual job is due to a recommendation) i hate the bad things of the South.. (and my girl actually lives there...)I don't suffer many person that I have to speak with, day after day. I think I'm not like the usual vision of the Italian guy.

Said so, i want to go away from here.

Still I was a kid, i always had the passion for USA.. and I have to admit that now it's a serious option for me.
But one day, my girlfriend said me that she liked Australia...
not for particular reason, excluding the dock of Sidney, she didn't know anything of the city and Oz in general.
So, I've started to search various informations for both of us... I've bought a touristic guide XD .. I've googled quite a lot, on search of infos, and experiences...and d'ya know what? I really like Australia!
I like its Gold Coast, as I like Outback, I like tasmania, as the other capitals, the already quoted Sidney, Melbourne (one of my favourites since I was little... only for its Formula one's Grand Prix !!!! lol ) Brisbane and Perth.

I like Oz for its huge spaces... and for the words of its travellers, they wrote about a land "magical" for his atmospheres and landscapes...
.
I would explain my doubt and questions in their right sections, for now that's all.
I hope that this "dreamtime" one day will come true..
how it's said for now?
Back of Bourke!? XD
see you in this forum!

Hi Mate,

Interesting, how you started to research Australia from such small beginnings. It is always the way, one thing captures our imagination, and from there, appreciation can grow.

If you ever come to the Gold Coast, we are living here, although we might be moving eventually. It is a good place to live. As you say, plenty of freedom and open spaces in much of Oz.

I've been to Italy, and must say, I love your country and especially Italian people! If you do ever get homesick after coming here, there are plenty of Italian communities and clubs here.

Wishing you and your girlfriend all the best with your future, whatever you decide.

Ciao ciao
