Massage Therapist in America....

I am a Massage Therapist currently living in Virginia, US and have long considered relocating to Australia after visiting many years ago when i was in the Navy. I know that there are many possibilities in Australia for therapists but I am having trouble finding employment and relocating right now as I don't know anyone to assist me, and as much information is out on the internet it's hard to always find what you are looking for and sometimes even know what you need to find. I look forward to finding help and maybe in the future helping others in my position. Thanks

It'll probably be a bit difficult as you need to have an occupation that is listed on the SOL or for employer sponsorship and I do not think that massage theraphy will be an occupation for either category but check via Workers - Visas & Immigration

I have already checked and Massage Therapist is currently listed as an eligible career field. However I am searching for employment before beginning the process for a visa as that will help make the process much easier. (I think)

SEEK - Australia's no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site is the best site I have seen so far for jobs down under.

It is listed on the SOL#4 but that means you will need to check the states to see which ones if any have it on their SMP.
You can check that via the 176 visa eligibility and individual state sites.
It may also be on the Employer Sponsor occupational list but one way or another you're looking at a very small market re opportunities.
