Need assistance in lodging skilled independent migration

Dear all,

For the last three years, I was studying in Australia for a postgraduate degree and I will graduate soon. I am an Indian citizen with a student visa. I am planning to lodge application for PR immediately after I graduate. However, there exist some inaccuracies in my previous marital life, let me explain it:

When I first come to Australia(3-years ago), me and my ex-wife come together. I got a studnet visa and she got a spouse dependent visa. I sponsored her to come with me. Unfortunately, our marriage did not work out and we had separated after about one year and get divorced after that. She leaved Australia about 2 years ago. The DIAC is informed about the situation. Now I have another girl-friend in India. We want to marry and lodge the PR application together.

My questions are, does the previous marriage affect our application in anyway? I have read somewhere in the DIAC that 5 years gap is necessary to sponsor another partner. Does that apply to this situation ? If so, is it good to lodge the application for my self first and sponsor her after the PR is granted ? In addition, can I lodge onshore application with my partner being overseas ? or is an offshore application a better option ?

Please let me know you opinions. Your comments will be very much important to make decisions for my next move.
