New Guy from DC

Hello everyone, I am an American from DC and wanted to try to see if I can make in the land down under. Late 20s, have IT experience, some certs and wanted to take the plunge to see if I can hope to get sponsorsed once in Oz.

I have been reading about the WHV for Americans and I applied and was able to receive it basically in about 7-9 hours (probably around 7pm on Tuesday Australian Standard Time). I am hoping to look for temporary IT work and I hopefully this will lead to something permanent.
