American Student to De Facto :D

Hi everyone! My partner and I have been skimming this forum for weeks, but now that I have all my paperwork in, I decided to actually join (plus, I can pester you all with my questions!) I've been living in Australia on a student visa for over five years now, and my same-sex partner and I have been together 8 months. We're registered as a couple in Vic

I'm an American citizen, and we put in our onshore 820 application on 13 January. Because Australia Post hates me, I didn't get my AFP check until yesterday (the FBI beat them by like a month, which surprised me considering the horror stories I've heard about having to get fingerprints redone and so on.) Slightly worried about how long it'll take to get a case officer, more than slightly worried because I'm on Efexor for mild depression. Totally treated and I can get any GP or psych to sign off on that, but it'll be a pain in the bum to have to do even MORE paperwork. Anyway, hi, nice to meet you all
