Hi Mrs G,

Great to hear from you again. I hope you had a fantastic time over in Europe and welcome back to Australia!!!

We submitted our application via hard copy (online applications weren't available back when we applied) through Sydney about 14 and a half months ago! We haven't heard anything since except for an automated email back in April to tell us they would look at our application in the next couple of months. We submitted what we believe was a decision ready application so we hope that I am not too far off getting granted TR.

Hopefully you will not have to wait as long as us to get yours granted.

Have a good day.

Hi Bluesea,
Holiday was great but always good to be back home .Thanks for giving me an insight of where you are in your partner visa application journey.I guess we need to be very patient and live one day at a time without worrying too much about the outcome !!But not always easy!!!For the time being,I will apply for Medicare and get my life more organised as there are many things I would like to do.After you sent your application and during the waiting period, did you send more evidences? What is a decision ready application by the way?I have come across this term many time but never really understood what it is.
Have a nice day Bluesea

I know what you mean about it not being easy to have to wait so long. I found the first 12 months ok but now I check VEVO every day hoping that I will hear something soon.

No, we haven't sent any more evidence (apart from updating the details on my husbands passport when he had to renew it) as we believe our application was very comprehensive and already had sufficient supporting documentation.

Decision ready just means that everything that the Department requires was submitted at the time of the original application - i.e. health checks, all police checks, all required forms and supporting documentation were submitted with the original application.

Speak soon
