Smile Working in Film-what Visa possible?!

Hello

Wow-this is great:I am totally struggling to figure out how to move to Australia and finally I feel like I could be in touch with loads of helpful people!I am 35-almost 36.It seems that my age excludes me from some visas and also my career is not on the Skilled Migration List. I understand there is a minimum time required for experience in an occupation to count towards visas. I have experience in a few fields so I don't know how or if I can proceed..
I have worked in the film industry as a Production Buyer for the last 5 years.
I do have qualifications to teach T.E.F.L. and I have 2 years experience from about 5 years ago-teaching kids and adults.
I also have experience teaching natural sciences and culture in a museum of science and culture,to children.
Also,in my bag of job experience and qualifications-I have a B.A. in English Lit and History of Art.-So?!
Any advice in how I might go forward in making a move to Australia happen with visas?I have many friends from school that moved out to Australia and all of them are happy there(unfortunately, none can sponsor me !) I don't know if it makes a difference but I have a 14 year old daughter too.

Thanks a million for any advice and if anyone needs advice on trips to Ireland and/or the U.S.A please ask me!
Great to be here!

Hi Tuireann,

The first option is to start with the DIAC website. immi [dot] gov [dot] au but it sounds as though you might have already had a look at this.

I would also try to find a registered Migration Agent to give you a free initial consultation. It sounds as though you might need someone experienced in these matters to have a look at your job history to see if it's possible.

Good luck!
