When we lodged our 820/801 application by post, it took about 5 days after the post site said it had been delivered before immigration emailed us and confirmed they received it. I think it basically goes in a big pile on their desk and it takes them a bit to file them.
Hopefully you hear from them soon. :-) If not, definitely follow it up with immigration/the post if possible.

Talking finally......But the wait is still on

@lisa-scarlette Thanks for your reply. Helped keep me calm

The immi finally got back to me- received an acknowledgement letter in my email today ....so happy****

how ever they messed up on some stuff:

they spelled one of my names wrong- i have 3 African names which i am used to spelling out. No one seems to know how to spell them..lol

they asked for more information, to be specific Police checks. I have lived in Uganda too so have to get three of them- Kenya, Uganda and Aussie. I sent the AFP Aussie one but they seem to not have seen it-attached to my form 80

so today morning i wrote to them (instead of working) and informed them on the name spelling mistake, advised them that i had attached the AFP plus i could not resist to ask about the work rights form 1005 which i also lodged with my application but they had not refereed to in any of today's email( i got two separate emails)- i could not help my self, had to sneak it in there...lol

Its great that they've gotten back to you Yeah, for little things like spelling it's easy enough for them to change when you inform them; on my student visa, my first and last name were swapped XD Once we told them they sorted it.
One of the hardest documents to obtain for our application was my home country police check. It can take quite a while to get -,- No idea how long it takes for Kenya and Uganda ones though. Good luck :-)
