Unhappy Hello from an undecided newie

Hello
I've joined this forum in the hope that you guys may be able to help me make mine, and my family's, decision easier.
Hubby works in construction and jobs are drying up in the UK so we're considering moving to Austalia. But I don't know if we're making the right decision. We have three year old twins who my entire family (inc inlaws) dote upon... I just don't know if taking them away from family is a good idea... I know you all can't make that decision for me, but I hope there is someone out there that had the same tough choice to make and can reassure me we're doing the right thing!!
Thanks for reading.

Hi Emily and welcome to the site,

I think immigration and the decision to do so is a bit different for everyone. If there is good employment without much risk where you want to go I would say go for it. Your home country will always be there if need be. But in today's economy and loss of jobs everywhere, your future and that of your children must come first. There will always be family members that disagree with any decision you make in life. But in the end, you must do what you feel is best and the family will get over it.
Just try to make sure if you can that the move provides the needed benefits. Just my opinion.

Gene

Thanks Gene.
I know moving across to Australia is going to break my mum's heart, but if my husband loses his job here (which is looking likely as redundancies are happening everywhere) and Australia is crying out for his profession I don't really see what choice we have.
I just wish it wasn't quite so far away!!
