Hello,

Is there any difference in the requirements for an EMPLOYER to be able to sponsor/nominate an employee between this visas?

186 Direct Entry stream
186 Temporary Residence Transition stream
482 Temporary Skill Shortage

It seems that some require to pass the training benchmark, but is unclear if it is need for all these visa types, or just the 186 ones, or just the 186 direct entry one.

Looks like the requirements are the same. That's weird because my company lodged this three types of visas and all have been granted except the 186 DE one. They said the company didn't meet the Training Benchmark B requirement....so why they granted the 482 and 186 TRT if all need to meet this requirement?

The regulations changed . Depends when the applications were lodged.

The 186 DE was lodged way before the 482 ones, and the 482s have been approved before and AFTER the 186 refusal
