Hi.

After reading all the posts, and people are helping each other, i also decided to get a help.

I have applied for 189 visa onshore in july 2015, still awaiting for a case officer to assign.

Anyways, i have applied my wife (offshore) as a secondary applicant and uploaded the marriage certificate, passport bio page, police checks, health examination and ielts as per immigration recommendation. And also, i did declared my marital status as married when i applied for extension of my student visa 1.5 years ago.

Just a bit curious to know if i need to upload any more documentation for my wife or to prove our relationship.?

If you've been living apart for a lengthy period (which it sounds like you have?), you may need to provide additional information to demonstrate you are in a genuine relationship. For example, evidence that you support each other financially, that you maintain regular/ongoing contact, visits to each other, etc.

Many many thanks for your reply.

I did visit her on our First Wedding Anniversary and spent couple of months with her, but i do not support her financially as she is a working partner. However, we have the history of our chats and call logs too.

Hopefully, All will be fine.

Another question, Will the processing time stay the same even if i have added my wife under secondary applicant?
