Need help!

I did my medicals on 28th Feb 2018 and happened to come across my Health assessment status 2 hours ago saying...

''Examinations assessed but further information required
A Medical Officer has determined that additional health information is required to determine whether this person meets the health requirement for the visa subclass specified. Further information will be provided by the department or the department's migration medical service provider, Bupa Medical Visa Services. Do not contact the department about health examinations in the meantime.''

I kinda started freaking out as I never had any history of illness, my fiance suggested me to stay calm and wait for a day or two believing the status might change and must be under process. (Have come across people saying their status to change from additional health requirement to cleared)

However, the stress compelled me to call up the panel clinic an hour ago and ask them if my reports were fine. They told me to take the Sputum culture test wherein the results will come only after 2 months and that I am supposed to undergo an X RAY again after three months (i.e. on 28th MAY 2018!!!!). I have no history of TB or any illness or see any symptoms of the same, no history of TB in my family either and I am finding this quite hard to believe. I am supposed to collect a letter and start with the tests in 2 days. I have been hounding on different forums and websites trying to understand this scenario.

Post talking to the panel clinic, my Health Assessment status suddenly changed to ''A panel clinic is currently processing this person's health examination(s) in eMedical. This screen will be updated once this person's case has been submitted to the department for processing. This may not occur until all results are finalised after the person has left the clinic. Ongoing delays should be followed up with the clinic in relation to the progress of your health examination results. Do not contact the department about this matter.''

I am finding this fishy as how has the status changed so quickly in a matter of fifteen minutes of me talking to the panel clinic. I have read about how some people have undergone the same and have lost huge time and money after doing the test. (TB tests are pretty expensive). Some people have even recieved responses from their CO saying the sputum tests are not required.

What is scaring me is the time frame required for all this ... 3 months in total to get all the results! If my CO wants me to do it later (depending on when I am alotted one) and I don't do it now... I may lose out on the time and will have to expect more delays. Also, after the department requested me for medicals and PCC.. I have 28 days to provide the information. However, given the change of scenario with the new tests etc. it will take 3 months. What am I supposed to do? Should I put in the mail and inform them? Has anyone gone through the same. Can anyone shed light on this matter?

Also, should I confirm the new requirements with the health dept of immigration? Is there an email id I can contact?

It might be no more than a stuffed up x-ray indicating a a vascular opacity.
Comply with requests.
In due course you should recieve a notification about the outcome.

Had the same with my wife, had the sputum test, proved negative, but she still had to take a course of medicine for 6 months, before she was granted her visa.
She had no history of TB.
28 Years Later during a routine ultrasound they discovered evidence of old TB scarring!!

I received one of these a while ago, most likely a faulty X-ray. We tried to argue with them, but once any sort of abnormality is detected, you are locked into the process.End of story. Best thing to do is to comply and get it over and done with as soon as you can. They take no chances with anything that could possibly be TB related.

Thanks guys! BUPA emailed right now saying MOC has advised me for 603 Respiratory Specialist Investigation and that my health assessment has been deferred as the MOC does not have sufficient information. I will have to do these tests and wait for 3 months for the results!

Also, due to the 28 day timeframe I may have to inform the case officer regarding the 12 week delay. Hoping this does not affect the visa grant decision. :(
