Hello All,

I looked everywhere, but it was difficult to figure out what the processing times look like AFTER the medical check request by a CO/immin.

Please answer the following questions and oblige:

  1. Date you received an EMAIL requesting medical check:
  2. Date medical check was CLEARED by the department:
  3. Date you received the GRANT:

Please mention any other obstacles you had to face after the medical check was requested.

I had to provide further information and get further medical investigations done but finished everything within the deadline. Waiting now...

My fiances partner visa was approved 2 weeks after being requested for medicals. The whole grant took 2 months and 10 days since applying. This was back in December when they were pumping out quite a few quick approvals out of the UK and Germany. The processing times have gone up again unfortunately and things have slowed down since.

Honestly, no one knows how long it will take. It could be a few days, a few weeks, a few months, or over a year. Every case is different and it depends when they get around to opening your file again and if they dont need any more information from you.

Generally, if you are requested medicals and police checks from a CO, then thats usually the last thing before a outcome for a visa, which hopefully isnt too far away. But its too speculative to say when exactly that will be.

Just re-read your post again and noticed you mentioned further medical assessments. Were there complications in your first medical checks? That could potentially cause a few delays.

Also, have you been requested for police checks yet? Or have you uploaded them?

Thanks for your response.

I was asked to get further check based on the panel doctor's suspicions, but the report was clear and the health report has been cleared by the department according to my agent. Are there any further checks after that?

We were asked for the PCC one month before they asked us to submit the medicals.

I understand that the times have gone up again, but I would like to gather some statistics while I sit here twiddling my thumbs. It is frustrating that we cannot make any concrete plans given that times have DOUBLED from when I applied.

I understand your frustration. I have 2 more visas for my partner and I to go through before she gets her PR, so I know the feeling. Unfortunately there is not much you can do but wait and try not to stress too much about the waiting times and live day to day. The processing times listed may not necessarily take that long for your case. Every case is different and complex.

Your best bet to get a gauge on trends is to search through previous/other threads on here. But as you probably know, this forum is a tiny demographic compared to visa cases applied for so it is really hard to get an average or statistic.
