I applied for partner visa 309/100 on 1st June 2016 from Islamabad, Pakistan.
Its been almost two years that i am waiting for my partner visa. My case is on departmental checks from last 13 months and not proceeding further.
They have taken two medical first in July 2017 and Latest in February 2018.

Can anybody guide what is this departmental checks thing that is not finalizing from last 1 year ???

They are probably security issues. They take for ever from Pakistan. It seems to be common with many visa applications coming out of Islamabad.
