I am Australian citizen and married to Pakistani citizen. I applied for my spouse visa while in Australia but moved out of the country to pursue job overseas. When 309 was granted, my wife and I traveled to Australia for entry before the date specified on visa label.

Now its about 2 months to the required 2 years before conversion to Subclass 100. Does it make the conversion difficult that my spouse has spent only a few days in Australia on 309? Also, what kind of documents are normally required for conversion from 309 to 100? Would my spouse need to make an entry to Australia on 100 before a specified date too?

The granting of the PR will be on the basis of your relationship continuing no matter where you are.
You did provide Immi with suitable advicce re contacting you abroad by email I imagine!
There have been some recent changes in processing which ought to clarify for you what will be required - http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/visa-enquiries/_pdf/factsheet-partner-perm.pdf and also read Partner Visa: Offshore Temporary and Permanent (subclasses 309 and 100) .
Other than any official documents I'd expect that all that will be needed will be some evidence that the relationship is continuing.

Though it is normal for a PR visa to have a latest enter by date to validate it, I'm not sure whether they do make an exception in the TR > PR situation but there will be advice with the grant and if you wish to know ahead of time , check with Immi.
Please post the outcome for future posters reference.

Thanks Wanderer. I will be faxing the form notifying change of address to the immi department today. Let's see how things go. I'll definitely post the outcome here for reference.
