I was on a 457 visa since May 2016. In July 2018 I stopped working for an employer - the cessation of my employment was sent to [email protected] - They claim that it was never sent to them (I was copied into that email).
Since then my wife and I lodged a 820 through a migration agent in September 2018, under the advice of being granted a bridging visa A when my 457 expires (90days). However, 90 days have gone by ( nearly at 120). And my VEVO check still comes up with 457.
As of today, I have sent the cessation of employment.
Has anyone else been in a situation like this?
How long does DHA take to respond to cessation emails?
Will they backdate my 90 day period?
Any advice/help is massively appreciated.
