My wife is working on 457 Dependent VISA and her employer is willing to sponsor her PR (186 Visa).

I wanted to check whether her employer can sponsor her under TRT (TEMPORARY RESIDENT TRANSITION) Stream despite she currently working on 457 Dependent Visa?

She meets most of the other criteria (for example 2 years experience in the same role in the same company in Australia)

To apply under the TRT stream, the applicant must have worked for the employer who nominated them for the 457 visa. So that means they must have been the primary holder of the 457. She would need to apply under the Direct Entry stream if her employer is able and willing to sponsor her.

Thanks Maggie. Health Waiver is not available under Direct Entry Stream and is only available under TRT Stream of 186 Visa. So DE option may not be helpful for us (its a bit complicated due to Medical condition).

I have also posted below question in the Forum.

I am currently in Australia on 457 VISA sponsored by my company 'A'. My family also is here in Australia on 457 dependent Visa and obviously initially sponsored by my company 'A'.

My wife after coming here in Australia got a Job and has been working with another employer (Company 'B') for last 2 years. She is however still on 457 dependent Visa which was originally sponsored by my Company 'A'.

If we need to transfer the sponsorship of only her 457 Visa to the new employer, what is the procedure? Also is it possible for her to become Primary Applicant once her 457 Visa sponsorship is transferred to Company 'B'? This would mean that I stay as a Primary Applicant with my original sponsor 'A' and she becomes primary applicant with Company 'B'.
