Hi all,

Have a query.
I am from India and my company lodged my 457 visa on 2nd MArch.
As the 457 visa is abolished from 18th March, so just wanted to know what will happen to those who applied in the last few days.

Heard some news that those who applied in MArch , their applications will be on hold. Is it true?

Kindly clarify.

If you applied while the 457 was still open, then you would be granted a 457 visa not a 482. Whether applications are on hold I wouldn't know. I wouldn't be surprised if they're taking some time to update their processing information on the new requirements and familiarising themselves with any transition arrangements, etc. so that may slow them down somewhat. But existing applications will still be processed.
